Help create and maintain a beautiful, water-conserving garden that demonstrates healthy garden practices using water recycling, mulch, drought-tolerant and native plantings, and no pesticides. Garden work parties may prepare beds, apply sheet mulching, compost, chip, weed, prune, water, plant, transplant, construct paths, construct benches or storage areas, construct berms or dry streambeds. Volunteers learn better gardening practices, drought-tolerant and native plant identification, soil preparation, and how to attract pollinators and beneficial insects, while enjoying the company of other gardeners and the beautiful setting overlooking Mt. Diablo.
