Since 1990, the City of Walnut Creek and Friends of the Creeks have partnered each year in May to clean trash out of our downtown creeks and do habitat restoration. The event involves more than 150 volunteers, from age 7 to seniors.
This year's event is set for Saturday morning, May 10. Creek restoration activities will include weeding in the butterfly habitat (easy work) and removing arundo, an invasive weed.
