Event Description

Please join AWWEE for discussion with Catherine Reheis-Boyd, President of Western States Petroleum Association; Miriam Gordon, California Director of Clean Water Action; and Sara Acridge, Project Manager of the Bureau of Land Management, California State Office on the oil field practices of concern, their risks, and related environmental protection measures within the context of California's energy and greenhouse gas reduction policies. The fight over the Monterey Shale raises important questions concerning how to balance California's growing demand for energy and jobs against environmental protections and the state's already stressed water supply.
