In collaboration with The Institute of Urban Homesteading ~ Join us for a community gathering day with hands on experience with sheet mulching to transform the backyard of Empress Vintage into the Empress Garden. Sheet mulching combines compost with straw and cardboard to revitalize the ground into fertile soil. We will be planting seeds of California native flowers to beautify the space for the community and provide safe space for our precious pollinators. We will be sharing refreshments and herbal teas. More info to come! Please donate here to help with our community project: www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-empress

The Empress Garden is a community space for classes, workshops and events. We are in the production phase of the project and need volunteers and/or contributions. This will be the first of a few community project days ~ come out and lend your hands to create this space together!
