Calling all Community Organizing Rock-stars! Mark your calendars - the 2014  Community Resilience Challenge (CRC) is coming to the East Bay and Bay Area! Throughout the month of May our community will come alive with inspired individuals, schools, organizations, municipalities and businesses taking practical action in creating a more healthy, just and resilient future. Learn how you can be part of this campaign -- whether it’s counting your organization’s existing community resilience project happening or May or being inspired to create a new project -- no matter how big or small. From installing a greywater system to planting an edible or drought tolerant garden to organizing a Clothing Swap or emergency preparedness meeting with your neighbors to simply riding your bike more… let’s promote community resilience together!

The event will feature:

5:30 -- East Bay Green Drinks mixer

7:30 -- Presentations by local Community Resilience Challenge leaders

8-8:30 -- Your questions will be answered! How can your organization benefit from being part of the CRC? What do these pledges mean? You'll get marketing materials and everything you need to have a great Challenge!

About the Challenge: Founded by Daily Acts and formerly the 350 Home and Garden Challenge/East Bay Sustainability Challenge, this year's Challenge is making more connections, fostering deeper impacts, highlighting projects already underway, and promoting our community resilience success stories. The East Bay CRC is organized by Sustainable Contra Costa and the NorCal Community Resilience Network. Our 2014 goal is to register 3,000+ actions and promote at least 30 events in May.

If you are unable to attend but would still like to organize a project or be involved in the Challenge, please contact us. We look forward to seeing you on April 16th!
