It’s late summer and, believe it or not, it’s time to start preparing for our winter vegetable gardens! This class will provide the fundamentals for a successful cool season garden, so you can look forward to eating produce all through fall, winter and into next spring. We’ll talk about transitioning from summer to winter and how to best take advantage of the reduced sunlight hours. We’ll also discuss compost, cover crops, frost protection and winter pests. Of course, we’ll go into detail on all of our favorite winter veggies. Bring your questions and a note pad and we’ll get our winter gardens off to a good start.
