The Director of PASE (www.pfse.net) will be giving a workshop on Saturday, 4:15-5:45 PM at the Soil Not Oil Intl Conference being held in Richmond, CA on August 5-6th.  Learn and network on protecting microbes in the soil that in turn is one major key to curbing climate change among other health & environmental priorities. 

There were over 900 registrants last year with over 100 speakers from various countries over the 2 incredible days that changed the outlook and lives of many attendees. 

PASE Director with 14 years of advocacy experience, Susan JunFish, MPH will demonstrate how community members can help respective municipalities wean off of pesticides by teaching you about:

  1. Basic pesticide toxicology necessary to converse with decision makers.
  2. Public records review act & requirements.
  3. Profiling the toxicity of pesticides being used by municipalities (school districts, cities, counties, parks and water districts, HOA’s etc.) to provide hard evidence on unnecessary risks;
    1. Cursory toxicity profiling option #1 – simple.
    2. In-depth quantitative profiling for each pesticide used option #2.
    3. Peer-reviewed & published evidence of harm/risk from pesticides;
    4. Common tricks the pesticide industry uses to influence decision makers;
    5. Least toxic and successful alternatives being used by other municipalities.
    6. When pesticides may be the least toxic alternative,
