  • Location: 18 home gardens and 3 botanical gardens in Walnut Creek and Concord
  • Latest Activity: Apr 18

A waterwise landscape doesn’t just mean ‘prickly cacti’ if that’s not your style.  There are many other options for climate-appropriate plants that will make your garden beautiful while simultaneously helping conserve water and offering natural food sources for butterflies, bees and other local pollinators.  This self-guided tour will showcase lawn-to-garden conversion projects up close and give you the opportunity to talk to the homeowners and designers about the process, their plant choices, and overall experiences. All gardens are within a 5-mile radius of the Ruth Bancroft Garden. Participants must provide their own transportation and explore each garden at their own pace during the registered time slot. This event will take place rain or shine.

Space is limited and registration is required.  After registration, look for an email on April 25th, 2024 (Thursday) for details about the self-guided tour, including the addresses.
