  • Apr 17, 2010 from 2:00am to 6:00am
  • Location: North Lime Ridge Open Space
  • Latest Activity: Oct 30, 2020
The trail is in a special drainage of Lime Ridge, and this is the first time in over 15 years that Walnut Creek has built a new trail, and I believe it is the very first time it has used volunteers to build the trail. So, this is a one-time only event that is not likely to be repeated for a very, very long time.We meet at 8 AM at the Bayberry entrance to North Lime Ridge. After registration, a briefing, and a look at Bayberry Pond (where the WC Open Space Foundation is restoring native plant habitat), we will proceed for the next few hours to build the trail that will enable people to see the entire drainage and to hike to the top of Lime Ridge from this trail.Due to limited tools, we are asking for pre-registration so that we can have the right number of tools available. While completing the trail is the primary objective, some may be asked to remove non-native plants at Bayberry Pond.
