Find out why food sustainability matters and what you can do to help preserve and strengthen your local food system.

Responsible land and water use, food cultivation and food distribution are essential to creating a sustainable food future. UC Davis Deputy Director of the Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program (SAREP) Gail Feenstra and Associate Dean for the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, David Campbell, will lead us in a discussion of the progression of our local food movement and development of community food systems. We will discuss feeding a rapidly growing population, the impact of climate change on agriculture and the economic, environmental and social dimensions of the global food system.

Suggested $5 donation to cover costs of this ongoing program. Please bring a canned or packaged food donation for The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano Counties.
