Join Sustainable Lafayette for its first-ever fundraiser to help the organization expand its programs and community outreach! If you want to see Lafayette become a truly sustainable community, then this event is for you!
Farm to table appetizers - Dine on seasonal dishes prepared by Metro’s award-winning chef and staff, plus other appetizers and desserts donated by local artisan food vendors.
Organically-farmed ZD Wines and sustainably-produced beer - Sample these delicious beverages and briefly learn from the winery owner how the wines were made. ZD Wines has been farming its vineyards using organic practices since the 1980s. Its many accolades over the past 45 years include a recent New York Times top 10 rating for 2011 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
Inspiring speakers - Our founder, Steve Richard, will share a vision for how a “Sustainable Lafayette” can become the greatest place we’ve ever lived. Then a handful of creative thinkers will give short TED-style talks covering different elements that define a sustainable community.
> Farmer Al Courchesne from Frog Hollow Farms
> Gordon Chong, former President of the American Institute of Architects.
> Judi Shils, founder of Teens Turning Green and The Conscious Kitchen, will cover everyday chemical exposures and how to minimize them.
Unique silent auction items - Bid on an amazing and unique array of environmentally-friendly items.
