Sustainable Lafayette has partnered with the Lafayette Library and Learning Center to offer two lunch time workshops in August to help you create a more sustainable yard that produces food, uses native plants, requires less water, and is more environmentally-friendly. You can eat lunch while learning and visit a little mini-growers market outside in the amphitheatre after each talk. Please RSVP to michael@lafayettelibrary.com."California Natives for Lafayette Gardens"Presented by Troy McGregor of Garden Natives. It's time to go native! California native plants are a smart and environmentally-friendly alternative to water hungry species. Native plant species are low maintenance and encourage bird and butterfly wildlife. California native plants on display and for sale after the workshop.A $5 donation is suggested, or $12 for a boxed lunch from Susan Foord Catering and donation (combined). Lunches have already been ordered for the first workshop, but still available for the second (8/8).
