This month's Sustainabilty LIVE is co-presented with 350 Contra Costa. Join us for an online conversation with first-person accounts from local delegates to the recent global climate conference in Glasgow.
As we watch world leaders from over two hundred countries discuss climate commitments, we are unclear if we should celebrate progress or worry about corporate and governmental foot-dragging. Environmental Justice demands that wealthy nations help poorer nations, who will suffer disproportionately from climate change. We will hear first-hand from two delegates who were there in Glasgow. This free event will cover climate justice, new climate commitments, and how to implement proposed policies.
Julie Gerrish represented the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) at COP26. She is a seminarian at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary and is pursuing a concentration in Climate Justice and Faith. Devin Murphy is a Pinole City Councilmember.
