Let's gather this month on a SUNDAY for a potluck meal in the garden. We're being hosted in the lovely home of chapter member Lorena - vegetarian cook extraordinaire, Ecuadorian food crusader and sustainable & edible gardening advocate.

We'll be joined by a number of organizations sharing hints and tips on transitioning lawns and gardens to edibles, native plants and sustainable processes. Here's to learning more about biodiversity, permaculture and natural resource management!

Nearest BART is Pleasant Hill/Contra Costa Centre. We will work to arrange for pickups at BART as well as carpools from the Oakland/Berkeley areas.

Our monthly gatherings are dedicated to connecting among one another, learning more about the Slow Food movement, and making plans for putting our knowledge and the principles of Slow Food into action.

Each month, we will have a particular idea, theme or event that will set the scene for the evening. Our hope is to bring in associated people to speak, organize activities for us to do and otherwise take time to discover more about the particular theme.

We generally meet the last Monday of every month in West Berkeley, at a personal home. Join us! It's easy and casual; bring a snack to share and an inquiring mind. And feel free to come later than 6pm, we usually go until about 8 or 8:30pm
