Join us for a live presentation on how newly certified Permaculture Designer, Elizabeth Crachiolo applied permaculture principles to transform her yard into a healthy ecosystem!
Elizabeth was inspired to take a Permaculture Design Certification course to convert her standard suburban lot in Woodland, CA (growing zone 9b) into a thriving permaculture food forest. As we face the effects of the climate crisis, she was empowered to improve the health of her little ecosystem and is hopeful about the environmental potential of suburban lots. She found permaculture design solutions to address winter flooding and compacted and contaminated soil within the constraints of a traditional neighborhood. She will share wisdom, mistakes and lessons learned in her ongoing process of transforming her landscape to be eco-friendly.
