Learn to convert your thirsty lawn to a beautiful water-smart garden! Instructor Patrice Hanlon is a Bay-Friendly Certified landscaper who has designed and maintained public gardens for over 15 years. The class will meet at the beautiful Living Green Garden and will learn the low-cost, SIMPLE method of lawn conversion, without digging up your old lawn!
This hands-on class will teach you how to create a site analysis of your space, what types of plants to choose to create a picturesque drought-tolerant garden, and will guide you through the step-by-step process of lawn conversion.
Additionally, you will learn the techniques that will keep your new garden happy and healthy, such as pruning and frost protection. Patrice will also discuss creating your own year-round garden maintenance plan. A sample maintenance plan template will be given to each participant.
Delicious, healthy snacks will be served!
