An afternoon benefit with presentations by:
Tammi Hartung, author, herbalist, and owner of Desert Canyon Farm in Colorado, as she introduces her new book, Homegrown Herbs: A Complete Guide to Growing, Using, and Enjoying More than 100 Herbs, from Storey Publishing. Tammi will share her love of herbs and techniques for harvesting and storing the best of nature’s bounty, including preparing herbal baths, mixing custom seasoning blends, and making healing tinctures and homemade body creams.
Local photographer Saxon Holt, whose photography accompanies Tammi’s writing in Homegrown Herbs, was also the photographer for the popular EBMUD book Plants and Landscapes for the Summer Dry Climates and for his award winning book The American Meadow Garden with John Greenlee. Saxon will share his behind-the lens techniques for capturing the beautiful herbs and gardens that are in the book.
Local herbalist and grower Rose Loveall of Morningsun Herb Farm in Vacaville, home to more than 600 varieties of plants with an emphasis on herbs and heirloom vegetables. Rose began growing herbs in 1995 with just 75 varieties of plants, and she will guide guests through the best techniques for propagating many favorite herbs.
Refreshments from 2:30-3:00 pm, followed by presentations. Plants will be available for purchase. Author book signing also available.

Sheila,
This looks like a great event. When I went to the website I couldn't find it listed. Do you know what the fee will be?
