Help create and maintain a beautiful, water-conserving garden that demonstrates healthy garden practices using water recycling, mulch, drought-tolerant and native plantings, and no pesticides. Garden work parties may prepare beds, mulch, chip, weed, prune, water, or transplant. Volunteers learn better gardening practices, drought-tolerant and native plant identification, soil preparation, and how to attract pollinators and beneficial insects, while enjoying the company of other gardeners and the beautiful setting overlooking Mt. Diablo.

Volunteers should wear gloves, closed-toe shoes, a hat, and bring drinking water and sunscreen. If possible, bring gardening tools to use at the garden and if desired, bring a camera for photographs.
