Want your kitchen garden to pump out delicious and healthful produce all year long? Well gather round because Pam Peirce - author of the Bay Area's edible gardening bible, Golden Gate Gardening - is coming to the nursery.
In this super informative workshop, Pam will put special emphasis on what to do from midsummer forward for a productive vegetable and herb garden, whether it’s large or small, sunny or shady. She'll share tips on how to succesfully grow food crops in limited spaces and containers, as well as explore the wonderful world of less common crops and edible weeds and flowers!
Bay Area gardeners have sworn by Golden Gate Gardening since it first came out in 1993. Now in its third edition, it has an expanded recipe section, more tips for harvesting and eating from your garden as well as new planting calendars for hotter inland microclimates.
Pam will sign copies of Golden Gate Gardening and her book Wildly Successful Plants: Northern California, a garden primer featuring 50 easy heirloom favorites. It's sure to be fun and informative, so bring your questions!
