A Free Workshop Sponsored by: The City of Walnut Creek and The Gardens at Heather Farm

Discovering a Sense of Place (Part II) with Patrice Hanlon, GHF Garden Manager and Susan Handjian, Garden Consultant and Coach.

In our 2012 workshop we explored the soil, plants, and bird life of our unique bioregion.  Join us for three new sessions as we delve into the details of living in the Diablo Valley. The Gardens will hold three sessions;

March 23 Everything is connected -Integrated Pest Management - How do different species interact with other parts of the web of life and how do they influence each other and function as a whole?

April 27- Explore Walnut Creek’s “Creek Walk” - What have been the consequences- for wildlife and plants of the ecological "footprint" of humans who have lived here over time? We will tour the garden and discuss the various impacts to creek wildlife

Each session includes activities or walks to explore watersheds, plants, animals and insects that live in our area.

Workshops can be taken individually or as a series.  Pre-registration required.
