The East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) is set to host four community meetings to discuss the ongoing drought response, the need for mandatory rationing and drought rates in 2015 if the drought continues or worsens.
The meetings will be held beginning this week in Walnut Creek, Castro Valley, Richmond and Oakland.
The presentation will include the current EBMUD water supply and budget, a proposed drought rate system, and information on water conservation to help customers use water wisely.
Spanish and Chinese-language interpreters will be available at all meetings, EBMUD officials said.
