Events Program Coordinator Shannon Griffin is planning Concord's second Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 22 from 8 a.m. to noon at Hillcrest Park, Olivera Road at Grant Street.
"We are setting this morning aside to celebrate our planet, and make improvements to this popular community park," says Shannon.
Bring your family to assist with tree plantings, path restoration, creek clean-up, trash pick-up and the planting of a butterfly garden.
The check-in tent will be located near the playground. Bring gloves and shovels if they have them, and come in their favorite work clothes.
