Canning and Preserving- Tomatoes for Sauce, Salsa and More!

Canning is a great way of bottling the summertime flavor of your garden, and it really isn't as hard as it seems. If you have always wanted to learn how to can tomatoes but you’re not sure where to start, this is the class for you!

 

You will learn canning basics including all the materials needed to get you started; including preservation basics, equipment, food safety issues and variations on basic recipes. The workshop will feature home canning techniques as well for long-term storage.  Participants will sample some of our favorite tomato recipes.
