Are you interested in energy efficiency and saving money?
SLIA and Sustainable Contra Costa (SCOCO) have partnered with Energy Upgrade California, a statewide initiative committed to encouraging Californians to be more energy efficient and make informed choices about their energy use at home and at work. Together, we will present a four-part, interactive live web series called “Bright Ideas.”
Each 20 minute episode will explore a key aspect of energy efficient "Bright Ideas" featuring a FUN introduction activity for middle schoolers and high schoolers along with a short presentation on the theme!
The episode dates and themes are as follows:
1. Tues, Oct 19, 6:00 p.m.- Lighting the Way to Energy Efficiency
2. Thurs, Oct 21, 6:00 p.m.- Energy Efficiency + Scavenger Hunt
3. Tues, Oct 26, 6:00 p.m.- The Best Times to Use Energy
4. Thurs, Oct 28, 6:00 p.m.- Energized About Climate Change
This is a family friendly program, and all are welcome! Each episode will also include downloadable resources for younger children to print and enjoy at home.
These live shows will be recorded, and participants will have the opportunity to turn off their video. No personal information will be shared.
