Bringing inspiring Bay Area artistic talent to the six acres of lush, natural landscapes at The Gardens at Heather Farm, our Artist in Residence program supports the creation of innovative and transformative artworks which inspire both artist and visitor to engage with the natural world. The program has just launched in June with the work of Oakland-based botanical weaver, Julia Wilson. Julia will be in the garden twice a week to create unique, site-specific plant weavings using garden waste material and trimmings. Visitors are invited to see Julia's artistic process at work during open studio. Drop by the garden to observe and engage with the artist and the natural world. Free.
