The East Bay Green Home Tour is a chance to see what your East Bay neighbors are doing with their homes to combat climate change, improve air quality, generate clean energy, conserve water, and move towards a safer, healthier, greener future. This is a free, community-powered event that invites the public to explore innovative, electrified homes. Explore homes throughout Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, ranging from new construction to those transitioning from gas. Gain valuable insights from tour hosts on appliance selection, contractor decisions, installation processes, tax credits and incentives, making your transition to electric living informed and cost-effective.
Attendees will have the chance to see firsthand a wide variety of electric appliances and environmentally-conscious home upgrades including energy-efficient heat pumps for heating and cooling, heat pump water heaters, induction cooktops, rainwater catchments, compost bins, electric vehicles (EVs), solar panels, battery storage systems, and more. Attendees will also be able to engage with tour hosts to learn about their choices, including financial considerations, rebate programs, contractors, and appliance models.
