Un-Official Thanks and Update

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the feedback.

Please look for official updates on my pages listed on the previous blog entry.

Response to recycling: Actually we pay thousands of dollars a month for recycling. We have areas of the district where the collector will work with us as an exception because we are a school district and waive the collection fee. However, I also have a battle with the custodians union.

As I am able, I have been working with the schools to do their own recycle programs, avoiding the union issue. However, the high schools are the only real impact so far. Mt. Diablo High has diverted somewhere around 3 tonnes of recycle material since December 2008.

Summary of Current Goal: My primary focus has been getting a 10.4 Megawatt solar installation for the benefit of the environment as well as the financial boost it will provide -

As I have been working on it since December 2008 and all the key players have now seen the potential, we decided to use it as the center piece for our bond measure with a water saving irrigation control system as the second piece. BTW - 10MW is equivalent to planting 2000 acres of trees.

Currently I am also working with the district drafter to assemble a comprehensive website pertaining to the bond measure. We are not allowed as a district to use tools like ning.com, in fact, I can not even access a ning.com site from a district computer. I have set up a physical server at my desk and administer it so the drafter can place the website on it. As we are both very computer savvy, it is a joint effort requiring a fair amount of time to assemble. If you want to peek, it is here: http://169.199.90.240/MDUSD

Hopefully we can talk someone in authority into letting us register a name with ICANN and have a nice dot-org name instead of actual IP numbers.

At this point, my brain is turning to mush and I'm going to sign off. :)
