We are excited to announce our Cleaner Contra Costa Fall Challenge! Complete as many actions as possible to earn points for a chance to win prizes and be recognized for your efforts. The Challenge starts September 23, 2019 and goes until March 19, 2020!
Compete as an individual! The first 100 individuals to reach 5,000 points will receive a Tread Lightly Toolkit, which includes a reusable bamboo utensil set, a reusable stainless steel straw, and more!
OR
Compete as part of a Clean Team! The top team in each region — East, Central, and West Contra Costa County — will be recognized by the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors and each team member* will receive a Tread Lightly Toolkit.
Starting a Clean Team:
- Anyone can be a Clean Team ambassador and form a team of up to 10 friends. Teams work together to earn points by taking sustainable actions through the Cleaner Contra Costa Challenge platform.
- Sign up to the Cleaner Contra Costa Challenge platform in order to start a team.
- Contact tina@sustainablecoco.org if you have any questions.
Get Started with these Actions:
Install Solar Panels (2000 points): The Bay Area SunShares program makes it easy and affordable for homeowners to go solar. Learn more about this limited-time program on October 9.
- Choose Green Electricity (2000 points): Live in an apartment? Can’t add solar to your home? No problem! Choose Green Electricity to receive 100% renewable energy from sources like solar and wind. Explore these actions further here if you live in Antioch and here for everyone else.
Thanks to all our Teams!
Since launching on Earth Day, several teams have already formed. Congratulations to everyone who has already started taking sustainable actions! Existing teams have a chance to compete in the Clean Team Challenge, and we will count any NEW actions you take beginning September 23rd toward the competition.
