Everyone is welcome Wednesday, February 18 at 7:00 pm when Seth Baruch will lead a discussion about "Saving with Renewable Energy: the Financial and Environmental Impacts of a CCA in Contra Costa.
A Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) is a system allowing cities and counties to aggregate the buying power of their residents and businesses in order to secure renewable energy supply contracts on a community-wide basis. This is an alternative to the traditional utility (PG&E) business model based on monopolizing the energy supply. A CCA can also create more local green jobs.
The Contra Costa Chapter of OFA is joining with other local organizations concerned about the environment and climate change to build public awareness and support for a CCA in our county. This event is being sponsored by the Diablo Valley Democratic Club.
Where: Ygnacio Valley Library, 2661 Oak Grove Road, Walnut Creek, CA 94598
