San Ramon’s Bishop Ranch is home to several corporate business offices, shopping outlets, a beautiful landscape of plants, and access to regional trails. If you work on the campus or have frequented its shops, you may have noticed the Ranch’s commitment to sustainable practices, such as its Regional Express Commuter Bus Service and BMW electric car sharing program.

In an effort to expand sustainable commuting options for its tenants, Bishop Ranch has launched BRite Bikes, a high-tech bike sharing program now available to those who want to explore the area on two wheels.  The program is operated by bike share company CycleHop, and Social Bicycles (SoBi) has provided the bikes for the program, which sport GPS technology and an integrated locking system. Through an interactive map on its smartphone app, SoBi’s technology allows you to locate your bike at any of the campus stations and unlock it with an account number and pin. If you’re not an avid app user, there are keypads on each bike, and you can also visit SoBi’s website (linked above) to locate and reserve bikes.

You can now rent from 100 bikes through Bishop Ranch! Individual and discounted corporate membership plans are available. Visit the BRite Bikes website for pricing details and interactive maps, smartphone app information, and other program specifics. Be a part of the growing shared economy and take advantage of Bishop Ranch’s BRite program. Happy cycling!
