The Opportunity
We are looking for motivated, organized, and energetic volunteers to join our team for organizing the Walnut Creek Ridge to Ridge Challenge Inaugural Youth-Led Adventure Fundraiser.
Because this is a major fundraiser for the Sustainable Contra Costa (SCOCO) Youth Leadership Team, we want it to be welcoming to people from across the county and beyond. This isn't a competitive race—it's a multi-level nature hike designed for different abilities to enjoy the beautiful ridges together. We need a coordinator who can keep our village of supporters organized, inspired, and on schedule as we bring this vision to life for the very first time.
Events Committee volunteers will help with a wide range of tasks based on their skills, experience and interests including planning, outreach and promotion, graphics, registration, communications, etc. Committee Members will work remotely on their own computer when not attending planning meetings or providing day-of-event support. Hours and location are flexible - volunteers must be comfortable structuring their own time. The commitment will vary depending on the role or task (est. 2 to 10 hours a week through May 9th).
