SPRING into the Cleaner Contra Costa CHALLENGE! May 2022
We are in the final month of the Spring Challenge!
Are you getting your garden ready? Remember that completing just one new action on the Cleaner Contra Costa Challenge earns you a free yard of mulch at EcoMulch! That’s a savings of up to $60! Just show your phone with your completed action picture to the staff at EcoMulch.
We have 2600 families who have joined the Cleaner Contra Costa Challenge so we definitely exceeded our goal of 2500 families. We have saved eight more tons of CO2 last month, so we are currently at 746 tons! That’s great progress.

- You can decrease methane release from landfills by Composting.
- Reduce your allergies and improve air quality by Replacing your Air Filters.
- Finally, can’t add solar? You can still support clean energy by Choosing Green Electricity.
Remember that each NEW action you complete can earn you 1 entry into our monthly Spring Challenge drawing. Take 3 new actions, get 3 entries into the drawing! Encourage a friend to sign up and get 2 entries! To enter the drawing, just send a picture (or screenshot) of your completed action(s) and/or the person you referred to laura@sustainablecoco.org.
At the end of each month, 5 winners will be drawn to win a $20 Ace Hardware gift card!
