Summer is here, and so is summer irrigation! If you’re looking to make the most of every drop with smart, simple changes, Contra Costa Water District’s (CCWD) free Water Wise House Call can help. During a typical Water Wise House Call, CCWD’s knowledgeable Water Efficiency Technician will:
- Review your irrigation system and provide watering suggestions
- Develop a customized watering schedule and explain how to program your irrigation controller
- Show you how to read your water meter to monitor usage and check for leaks
- Provide dye tablets and explain how to use them to test toilets for leaks
- Share tips and suggestions to help you avoid high water bills
- Offer free water saving devices including a hose nozzle and water efficient showerheads
Water Wise House Calls are available to all residential customers within the Contra Costa Water District service area. Appointments are offered Monday – Friday, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm and typically last 90 minutes.
