How do you teach over 38,000 high school students to care about climate change? You combine airtight science with pop-culture entertainment to teach young people how to make immediate, powerful change!
The non-profit Alliance for Climate Education (ACE) has been educating high school students in Contra Costa County since 2009, with exciting assemblies at nearly 40 schools in the county, including Richmond High, Mt. Diablo High, Freedom High, and Antioch High School!
ACE just released a new digital resource: Our Climate Our Future. It's an online version of the ACE Assembly, with additional interactive features and educational resources. It gives teachers the flexibility of bringing ACE into their classroom whenever they want, to best fit their schedule and lessons plans.
They've been hearing teachers request this kind of resource for years, and are so excited to finally have it ready to share. It's also free for teachers for a limited time, and with Earth Week coming up it's the perfect time for teachers to take advantage of this amazing resource.
In addition to the assemblies, ACE has also trained over 4,000 students to be climate leaders through their Action Fellowship program!
