BayREN's Home+ program provides free or discounted home energy assessments to help identify areas for energy-efficient improvements. Home Energy Advisors can help determine your home's current energy-efficiency needs and consult with you on the best approach for your projects.
Consider working with a Home Energy Score (HES) Certified Assessor before starting any upgrades. They will provide a comprehensive evaluation of your home's energy usage, a Home Energy Score on a scale of 1 and 10, and a personalized report with recommendations for retrofit upgrades and potential savings.
To qualify for BayREN rebates, you must work with a BayREN Participating Contractor. Not only can these contractors help you make recommended upgrades in your home, they have been vetted by BayREN to ensure they meet certain standards and can provide high-quality work.
Depending on the project type, you or your contractor will submit the application for you to receive up to $5,000 worth of rebates. The Home+ program offers plenty of rebates and incentives for energy-efficient upgrades such as insulation, windows, and appliances. By working with participating contractors, you can take advantage of these incentives and make the transition to energy efficiency more affordable.
