Title: Community Resilience Challenge East Bay 2017 Project Coordinator

Project Timeframe: February – June 2017

Schedule: Approximately 200 hours (10-20 hrs/week. Most time will be spent in April and May)

Consultant Fee: $4,000 - $4,500

Description: The Community Resilience Challenge Project Coordinator will coordinate the implementation of the Community Resilience Challenge East Bay, an annual mobilization campaign that inspires thousands of citizens and groups to take action to save water, grow food, conserve energy, reduce waste pollution, and build community.

The coordinator's duties will include working with community partners, municipal agencies, and schools to support their CRC projects and events; coordinating volunteers and conducting outreach at community events to educate and inspire people to take action toward more sustainable and fulfilling lives;  developing promotional materials, updating and maintaining the registration platform and website, and creating follow-up reports. The coordinator will work with the support of a team from Sustainable Contra Costa and other organizations.

Admin work can be done remotely on a web-connected computer. Coordinator will conduct planning meetings and attend regional CRC coordination meetings.

The ideal candidate will be organized, self motivated and an excellent communicator. Experience with project management and nonprofit work is highly desirable.
