We will meet at the offices of Brown & Caldwell at 201 North Civic Drive  Walnut Creek, CA 94596. It is just north of Ygnacio Valley Blvd on Civic. There is lots of free parking in the building's lot. The meeting will be held from 8:15AM to 9:15AM.

Mike McGill, who is on the board of the Central Sanitary District, will moderate the meeting.

The focus of the meeting will be a presentation of the CoCo San Sustainable Farm proposed on up to 33 acres of the Keiwit Property, owned by the Central Sanitation District. The property is located in Concord north of Route 4, west of Solano Way, south of Imhoff Drive, and east of the Central San Facility.

This is a leading edge project, addressing a wide range of policies and issues from economic development, water reuse, agriculture, employment creation, education, science and technology, and environmental affairs. The project is aligned with several areas of competitive advantage that we enjoy in Contra Costa County.

The speakers at the meeting will be the team proposing the far. The team will give us a project overview with a history and goals (salads for schools/food bank, education, green jobs incubation), an outline of what the farm will be in specific (soil, irrigation, crops, high tunnel greenhouses), a summary of CCCSD's visionary mission and goals and implementation in general and use of recycled water specifically, a global and national view of trends in agricultural use of recycled water, a business overview with specifics on the business model, customers, budget, revenue and costs (5 min), a discussion of permits and SEQA, and a schedule and timeframe.  

This will be a joint meeting with the Land Use Task Force.
