Didn't we have fun? The 2019 Sustainability Awards Gala & Fundraiser was beautiful evening of connection and inspiration. We are so grateful for all our Partners, volunteers, friends and supporters!

County supervisors John Gioia & Diane Burgis presented SCOCO’s Leadership in Sustainability Awards to seven dedicated individuals and organizations. See the winners here. The awards program also featured our Visionary Partner Central Contra Costa Sanitary District presenting their Pollution Prevention Awards, as well as our Benefactor Partner, the Contra Costa Green Business Program presenting new and re-certified green businesses.

The event took place at the beautiful Pleasant Hill Community Center where the evening began with a reception featuring food, wine and beer from our local, sustainable Partners, such as Sunrise Bistro, DVC Culinary Arts, Mt. Diablo HS Hospitality Academy, R & B Cellars, Captain, and Viano Vineyards, CaliCraft Brewing, as well as live music and a raffle featuring local goods and services.

This year our event theme was "Stories of Sustainability", focusing on our community and their own stories of sustainable living. We enjoyed exhibits from our allied organizations like Bike Concord, the Pleasant Hill Instructional Garden, Contra Costa Resource Conservation District, and the Walnut Creek Watershed Council.

Sustainable Contra Costa is grateful for the generosity of our sponsors whose support makes our programs possible.
