Contra Costa County Climate Leaders (4CL) hosted a very informative workshop this week about this exciting topic. Phase 2 of the California First program is open to new counties only from April through July so hopefully Contra Costa County will get in! The City of Richmond has prepared a resolution that other cities can duplicate (it can be downloaded at www.cccclimateleaders.org). Cities must do this ASAP so that our County knows how interested our community is in seeing this come to fruition in 2010! This is a great opportunity for Contra Costa residents to get affordable financing for solar installation so encourage your city to adopt this resolution NOW.
You need to be a member of SCOCO Network to add comments!
Encourage your city to put this on their agenda, and Let us know when this issue will be reviewed by your town council! Attached is the latest list of known meetings.
Support for the California First program is quickly gaining momentum and several Contra Costa cities will be discussing it at upcoming City Council meetings. Please download here an informative flyer on how to help get this started in your city, a sample letter and a sample resolution. City council meeting schedule and elected officials contact information to follow. For additional information, visit www.cccclimateleaders.org.
