A unique, monthly environmental film series. Participation is free, easy and fun! Watch the month’s selected film at your leisure from the comfort of your own sofa. Then join a one-hour Zoom discussion to explore the film’s topics more deeply, often with a guest speaker.
Our second entry in the series features “The Last Drop” a powerful documentary about our water crisis. Fueled by climate change and overdemand, California and much of the South-West is now
faced with a historic clean water shortage. In California 41 of 58 counties are in a drought emergency as declared by the governor. Our movie for this month looks at this crisis and some of the solutions big and small.
On July 22nd at 7 pm, join us for the discussion, which will include a presentation from Kristin Bowman, EBMUD Water Conservation Representative on our current water supply, drought restriction, and indoor and outdoor water conservation opportunities. We will also include time for a general discussion about the movie.
Sponsors: 350 Contra Costa, Sustainable Contra Costa, Sustainable Rossmoor, and Generation Green.
