The first film in Sustainable Lafayette's summer film series!  Drawing from ancient knowledge and cutting edge science, the film is an artistic exploration of the miraculous substance soil. It examines our human relationship with soil, the use and misuse of soil in agriculture, deforestation and development, and the latest scientific research on soil's key role in ameliorating the most challenging environmental issues of our time.  Steven Andrews, Dirt Dude, Compost Connoisseur, true soil scientist and professor at the University of California, Berkeley, will lead a post movie discussion.  Coffee and cookies/snacks.  $5 donation suggested.
