In February, as Fashion Week kicks off around the globe, we delve into the world of “Fast Fashion” and its impact to the environment and industry workers. Fast Fashion refers to cheaply made, mass-produced garments that produce millions of tons of greenhouse gasses, contribute to air pollution, use millions of gallons of water during production, and are often produced with unethical work practices in other countries.
Watch these two short films from the comfort of your home and then join us to hear from Sophia Marie Poulos, Remake Ambassador and Fashion Designer. Remake is a community-based organization of fashion lovers, focused on the environment, and women’s rights. Their mission is to change the industry’s harmful practices on the people and the planet.
