Clean out your closet and bring clothes in good condition to swap them out for some clothing clothing swap clothing swap swap new ones!
Local students, who received the 2026 Leadership in Sustainability Award, are turning their passion for reducing waste into a community-wide effort. With support from Sustainable Walnut Creek, they’re organizing a clothing collection and a free community swap.
How it works
1. Donate this fall. Look for clothing collection bins at schools and community locations throughout Walnut Creek and nearby areas.
2. We sort it. Lavanya and Kylie will collect and sort every donation so it’s ready to find a new home.
3. Swap on December 3. Join us at the Civic Park Community Center Social Hall in Walnut Creek. Take home clothing at no cost, even if you didn’t donate anything.
Please contact clothingswap.sr@gmail.com if you’re interested in setting up your own community clothing collection bin to help expand the initiative.
