Come see the magic of a two-year old demonstration food forest “Barley’s Backyard”—its name owed to the family dog Barley. The tour will focus on winter young fruit trees, pruning and tips on nurturing and further developing this garden. This food forest is entirely fed by rainwater, roof water and a laundry-to-landscape greywater system.

Our permaculture designer, David Mudge, built the entire food forest around a long dog run. Fruit trees, berries, numerous perennials and annuals, chickens, a dog, a young couple and their numerous friends all share and enjoy this garden.
