Summer Opportunity for Students and Teachers

8095726055?profile=originalLEAF is a cutting-edge program that inspires children to engage with ecological systems and supports teams of students as they collaborate to change the way their school communities impact the environment. Now is the time for our youth to be leaders for change in our world!

LEAF teams comprise four to five student ambassadors and a committed mentor teacher from each school.

LEAF teams from schools across San Francisco gather for a two-week summer intensive, spending each weekday in the field and working alongside professionals. The summer dates for 2011 are: July 18—29, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

LEAF ambassadors work with mentor teachers to develop project proposals for their schools. Teams with successful proposals will receive seed money to launch their projects.
All accepted students receive full grants to cover program costs; mentor teachers receive $1,000 stipends.

Space is limited and we will begin accepting applications on February 1st. Applications are due by March 1st.
