The Ruth Bancroft Garden is offering Valentine’s Day Aloe Tours, an all-day event focused specifically on The Garden’s dramatic aloe collection. The Garden has an unparalleled collection of aloes, including hybrids not found anywhere else in the world. These winter bloomers put on a stunning show with colorful, dramatic flower stalks.
You can enjoy “Sweets with Your Sweetie” which includes a guided tour by curator and world-renowned aloe expert Brian Kemble, mimosas and sweet treats in our covered shade house, and a dish garden to take home as a remembrance of your visit.
A special selection of aloes will be available in our retail nursery as well as dish gardens, aloe books, and other garden inspired gifts for your Valentine.

Hours: 10am to 3pm
Location: The Ruth Bancroft Garden, 1552 Bancroft Road, Walnut Creek, CA 94598 with parking available at both the office and North entrance
Regular admission: $10/adults, $8/students or senior 65+, and free for RBG members, children under 12 and members of participating AHS reciprocal gardens. Docent-led tours 11am and 1pm as well as self-guided tours.
“Sweets with Your Sweetie” special event: $50/couple for members, $65/couple for non-members. Tours with Brian Kemble 10am and 12 pm last 60 to 90 minutes, followed by your Sweets Seating. Pre-registration required since space is limited. Sign up online or call the RBG office to make your reservation. Event held rain or shine.
