Learn how to convert your thirsty lawn to a beautiful, water-smart garden in this classroom/hands-on combo workshop with master gardener Marian Woodard! Start out at the Pittsburg Library Community Room and learn about a SIMPLE, low-cost method of lawn conversion, without digging up your lawn; how to create a site analysis of your space; and what types of plants (edible or not) to choose to create a picturesque, drought-tolerant garden. Then, head over to the beautiful Pittsburg Living Green Garden where your instructor will guide you through the step-by-step process of sheet mulching for lawn conversion.
Additionally, learn techniques for keeping your new garden happy and healthy, such as frost protection.
