Event Description

Nutrition, labeling, and allergens go hand in hand.

Each year, millions of Americans have allergic reactions to food. Although most food allergy causes are relatively mild and minor in symptoms, some can cause severe reactions, and may even be life-threatening. Guest Speaker Betsy Craig, AllerTrain, will provide you with the tools which focus on your customer's safety.
 

Attendees will learn:

 

  • About linking labeling and allergens together in order to understand the evolving matters of your customers' well-being.
  • How the atmosphere is shifting and informing your customers on the eight foods identified by law: Milk, Eggs, Fish, Crustacean, Shellfish, Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Wheat and Soybeans.
  • About new FDA regulations, new labeling requirements, and the changing terminology.
