Since 1990, the City of Walnut Creek and Friends of the Creeks have partnered each year in May to clean trash out of our downtown creeks and do habitat restoration. The event involves more than 150 volunteers, from age 7 to seniors.

This year's event is set for Saturday morning, May 10. Creek restoration activities will include weeding in the butterfly habitat (easy work) and removing arundo, an invasive weed.

Minimum age: 7 years old. Children younger than 12 must be accompanied by adult. What to wear/bring: Wear old sneakers. Bring gloves. Plan to get wet.

Waiver Requirement: All volunteers must complete a liability waiver form. Children younger than 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Click here for a copy of the waiver and bring it with you on May 10.
