We cordially invite you to the Grand Opening of Living Green Gardens on May 30th 10:00 to Noon. This half-acre garden at City Hall is a demonstration garden that will be promoting Integrated Pest Management, Water Conservation and Drought Tolerant Plants. The garden is for residents but also for commercial landscapers to learn about new innovative irrigation techniques as well as about fertilizer methods and drought tolerant plants. This systems has installed a fertigation tank to use organic soluble fertilizer within the subsurface irrigation system.

We will also be installing interpretive signs to talk about the various plants and irrigation installed. The Garden also has a bat box, raptor stand and Kestrel box. The garden is full of color, texture and variety. We hope to encourage residents and businesses not only to change their landscape but their irrigation methods and in turn will benefit our watershed by using less pesticides.

This garden is the only one of its kind in East County. Please join us.
